Following DPR_at_CCXii here is the plan for DPR at CCXiii.
Before the event:
- CCXiii Prod cell communicates repeatedly about DPR to get the word out that we are recycling plastic.
- Poster and stickers to raise awareness (The Eye).
Before Wednesday:
- Create a prominent central collection place for plastic items to be recycled. This must be visible and clearly labeled so everyone understands to bring their plastic items there. Maybe next to the house might be a good spot for this collection.
Monday 11am:
- Bring all the plastic collected to the DPR Lab at container camp
- Sort plastics by types (2 volunteers)
- Shred plastics by types (The Eye + 1 volunteer)
- Based on last year's we project that we will not have enough plastic to create objects. It's ok to keep shredded plastics from one year to the next.
- If we do, we must heat-up shredded plastic in oven (specific temperature TBD) before pouring into mold.
