The Puddle is an element of the Disorient mythology.
Over the years the word Puddle has taken different meanings within Disorient:
2001: A state of consciousness of Disorienters i.e. "Man... I'm a puddle."
2002: A lounging configuration involving a flock of Disorienters. Puddles were the Disorient equivalent of chill-out areas at raves. Large Disorient events often have spaces dedicated to Puddling. This lead to the term Cuddle Puddle which later became widely used outside of Disorient.
2004-2009: The first Disorient web-based forum ran on phpBB. It was named Puddle as the virtual equivalent of our physical Puddles. The Puddle was vibrant.
